I just updated some new (or is it old?) horror movie trailers. It's my way of saying Merry Xmas: by potentially scaring you. I'm currently on the search for Christmas themed horror films but I haven't found many. Santa Slay would be an interesting one to watch on Xmas, if you're into that.
Here's an old favorite from the 80s you're bound to watch:
What fictional creature do you wish were real?
The zombie. I know we'd have to kill 'em all but still...it would be very interesting to see a reanimated corpse get up and hunt like a wild animal. (Another thing that would work: reanimating dead animals, since it's virtually the same thing.)
All I see is fog
Something may be creeping in the clouds
Stalking its prey
One of Cthulhu's minions, perhaps
There are sad, lone trees rotting
In the damp ground
A house seems to be hidden
Within this smear
The wooden foundation is crumbling
I barely see a dead, rancid beast in the confusing gloom

Sorry folks, I completely stalled here/ I haven't written poetry in a couple of years. I'll try again later....
I added vintage horror film trailers for you to enjoy (with some new ones), avatars, two new books and some music that I like. Tell me if you've seen any of those old horror movies, if you can. I haven't seen some of them myself (Scanners, Brain Damage, etc). Hope you like the trailers! Oh, and I also added an SLC Punk! trailer since I love that movie and haven't seen it in forever.
I went earlier today. Rob Zombie revived the series, I think. It's gory and violent but...it makes Mike Myers seem more human than in the old films. It shows his terrible past and everything. The film was disgusting in some parts of it but overall, it's awesome. I just wonder when we'll see Freddy's 'origin' film and who would play him (even though Robert Englund did an excellent job as one of my favorite horror icons). I loved the Leatherface one so much I bought it! These two seem similar but Mikey isn't a cannibal (obviously) even though his family is just as screwed up as Leatherface's...just in a different way. I know I'm stating the obvious unless you haven't seen those films or like horror films. I'd recommend it for any Halloween or Ron Zombie fan. Or for people who just like really bloody deaths by a psychopath. That's all for now.
Note: I actually wrote a review! If you have any opinions on this film and other horror masterpieces (even campy movies like Evil Dead!), post a reply^_^
I never have played this game but have seen it in action and also saw the demos and trailers. This game would definitely get me to play the expensive XBOX 360. I got some info on it:
I will be adding the trailers soon (all of them I can find, that is)
I found these while searching the net and I thought they were awesome. They're called Dinosaurs Attack! and Mars Attacks! (http://www.marsattacksfan.com/homepage.htm) (sorry, it wouldn't let me link the name^_^;)
Here's more info from Wikipedia on them:
Here's the link to the Mars Attacks! movie page as well: Tim Burton's Mars Attacks!
I read that Tim Burton just might do a Dinosaurs Attack! film too. That'd kick ass. Does anyone else know about these series from the 60s? I'm already a fan of them (maybe cause they're so gory and morbid). The 60s sound quite interesting. Unfortunately, both of these card sets were short lived. I'd love to get some MA! cards but they're very expensive while the Dino ones seem to cost less. Oh well....and they're both amde from Topps. Wait....I have old baseball cards from them.
I've been going on a horror frenzy lately. I'm also getting out more. Here's something awesome I learned from this year's Comic-Con: 'Midnight Meat Train', the morbid story by Clive Barker, is going to be a film! I read that story too much. There's also going to be a 'Watchmen' movie too! I recently read that great DC comic (by far, the only one I like from them). I am still too shy to post any of my original story thoughts (though they now have a horror theme). Hmm......I feel like writing a free form poem before going to sleep (inspired by too many things horror):
The zombies shamble about
As the citizens scream
Warning! Warning!
Cannibals on the loose!
Flayed flesh
and the stench of blood
The Elder Gods are calling...
Will you answer?
The stars seem right
Watch out!
A psycho with a dreadfully bloody hockey mask
Is out to get you!
Maybe Freddy isn't dead
Santa isn't what he seems....
Now time to rest
With dreams of vampires, werewolves and gillmen
Is this the end?
Maybe
Note: can you spot the references I made?
Anyway, that's the first poem I wrote in a while.
Good night...
